This programme seeks to increase the incomes of households within the ASAL regions of Northern Kenya and Southern Ethiopia by facilitating better access, control and management of available community resources. In particular, the programme focuses on agriculture, livestock development as well as micro enterprise development for livelihood diversification and food security.

Agriculture

On agriculture, PACIDA trains community members on how to farm different crops and establish kitchen gardens and tree planting. On the other hand, capacity building of Livestock Marketing Associations (LMAs) equip community members with skills to manage livestock market facilities.
